My ideal Nuffnang summer is happening in a few days, haha! The boys and I are off to Cebu this coming weekend and I am definitely excited to be there. It will be a first time for the three of us and we're anxious to see the sights and taste the food that this great city has to offer. We're also spending a day on the beach! What's a Healthy Deal?

For me, a healthy deal is one that would benefit my health without sacrificing my budget. Being diabetic, I have meds to maintain which our medical insurance doesn't cover. Thus, I'm always on the lookout for affordable healthy deals. That's why I'm glad that I discovered Healthy Deals Philippines.

One healthy deal that got me really interested is Power Bleaching package from Dentista Inc.. Sure, our health insurance provider covers our annual oral prophylaxis and tooth extractions but not teeth whitening which is why I am so tempted to buy this deal. HealthyDeals.ph offers this for only Php 26,400 which is Php 10,500 cheaper from its original price. The deal already covers power bleaching with flouride treatment, touch-ups, tooth cleaning, and consultation.

I also found out that HealthyDeals.ph is currently holding the “What’s a Healthy Deal?” Bloggers Raffle Contest and I'm joining! If luck is on my side, I'd get to have an Apple iPad2! Wish me luck!

Pagbabago

Ilang araw na ang nakararaan nang isang matabang higad ang gumapang sa kisame ng aming kwarto. Pinabayaan ko lang ito at hindi ko pinatay. Naisip kong isa lang naman ang hangad ng matabang higad. Ang gumawa ng cocoon para sa kanyang malaking pagbabago. At ito na nga, pagtingala ko sa kisame ngayong gabi ay ito ang aking nakita:


Naaliw naman ako at na-excite nang kaunti. Sigurado kasing paglabas ng dating higad sa kanyang munting bahay ay magandang paru-paro na sya na tulad nito:

Masasabi kong, tulad ng mga paru-paro, kinailangan ko ring dumaan sa mga pagbabago bago ko narating ang kinalalagyan ko ngayon.

Maaga akong nag-asawa at naging isang ina. Kinailangan kong bitiwan ang trabaho ko bilang editorial assistant sa isang publishing house para mapagtuunan ng pansin ang aking munting pamilya. Tumaas ang kilay ng nanay ko noon. Nag-UP pa raw ako magiging housewife din lang. Pero no regrets. Ang pagiging full-time mommy ang pinaka-magandang pagbabagong ginawa ko sa buhay ko. Nakita ko ang lahat ng milestones sa buhay ng anak ko. Ako ang nag-asikaso sa lahat ng mga pangangailangan ng aking mag-ama.


Yun nga lang, dumating din ang panahon na kinailangang pumasok na ang aking anak sa big school. Imbes na magmukmok sa bahay, naisip kong sabayan ang anak ko sa pagpasok sa eskwela. Nag-aral ako uli at nag-enroll sa UP Open University ng Masters in Education. At pagkatapos ng 2 taon ay pinasok ko naman ang bagong larangan - ang pagtuturo.



Bigla akong naging teacher mommy ng mahigit sa isang dosenang makukulit na bata! Nakakatuwang nakakapagod ang bawat araw pero buong puso kong tinanggap ang bago kong propesyon. Hindi nga lang ako nagtagal sa pagtuturo sa pre-school dahil kinailangan naming lumipat ng tirahan. Ito naman ang naging daan sa pagbubukas ng aming tutorial center.


At dahil mas sarili ko na ang oras ko, mas nabigyan ko ng pansin ang blogging. Mula sa isa ay nagkaroon pa ako ng 2 blog. Dahil sa blogging, nakakilala ako ng mga bagong kaibigan. At dahil din sa blogging nakabalik ako sa karerang dati kong tinalikuran. Akalain mo nga naman, balik publishing na naman ako. At dahil age of the internet na, hindi ko na kailangang pumasok ng opisina araw-araw. Ang saya di ba? Full-time nanay at part-time tutor na suma-sideline bilang web content writer ng isa sa mga pinaka-malalaking publishing house sa Pilipinas!

Isa na akong ganap na paru-paro sa tingin ko. Lumawak na ang aking kaalaman at gumanda ang aking buhay. (Nakababa na rin ang kilay ng aking nanay, hehehe!) Nakakatuwang isipin na sa mga pagbabagong ito ay nakasama ko pala ang Goldilocks. Nakakatuwa rin dahil tulad ko, ang Goldilocks ay bukas sa pagbabago. Tutal, boring naman ng buhay kung ganun at ganun na rin lang araw-araw, 'di ba?

Hindi masama ang pagbabago dahil ito ay nagpapakita lamang ng pag-unlad. Kaya nga kahit na nakaladlad na ang aking mga pakpak, hangad ko pa ring makaranas ng mga pagbabago. Gusto ko naman ngayong lumipad at makarating sa mga bagong lugar at matuto pa ng bagong kaalaman. At tulad din ng mga pagbabagong naganap sa aking paboritong Goldilocks, hindi naman nangangahulugang tatalikuran ko na ang aking pinagmulan. Ako pa rin ang dating ako, nadagdagan lang ng magagandang pagbabago.

Fit ‘n Fab 4 Challenge 2010 Invades Your Campus

The hottest challenge in town is now burning its way towards all you young and hip people all over the metro, The Del Monte Fit ’n Right Fruit Snacks Fit ‘n Fab 4 Challenge 2010! Focusing on today’s youth, The Fit ‘n Fab 4 Challenge is tapping all you college students in Metro Manila by taking part in the biggest and grandest events of your respective campuses.

First to be burned are the Thomasians in the recently concluded UST “Cheermania!”, the University of Sto. Tomas’ grandest in-school cheering competition. Cheermania is the annual cheering competition between UST’s different colleges featuring Thomasian-dynamism through rhythmic dances that highlight the values of their respective colleges and faculties. Del Monte Fit ‘n Right Fruit Snacks played a major role in the success of this event by being this year’s Cheermania presenter. With that, the students allotted six minutes of non-stop cheering action having Del Monte Fit ‘n Right Fruit Snacks as one of the major parts in their routine.

Setting up booths inside your schools, Del Monte Fit ‘n Right Fruit Snacks will not just be presenting but will also challenge each and every one of you students to participate in this year’s Fit ‘n Fab 4 Challenge!

Maver's Starbucks Planner Palooza

I am joining Maver's Starbucks Planner Palooza! Isn't it obvious that I'm addicted to Starbucks? I decided that I better join this one since I am still seven stickers to away from my first ever Starbucks Planner for 2010. Wish me luck! I hope I get the Espresso planner.


If I were a Starbucks drink, I would be a hot Peppermint Mocha. Why? I've been coughing and sneezing for weeks now and this drink always gives me comfort. It's like I'm having coffee and a mint pastille all at the same time. I'd like to believe that I give the same comfort to my boys whenever they're not feeling well. You know how moms are, we tend to take care of others all the time and it's most likely that there's no one to take care of us when we're sick.
