If you have been following my blog from last year, you may have already read about my success in managing my blood sugar and cholesterol levels with C-Lium Fibre. This achievement would not be possible without the fiber I was getting from my daily intake of C-Lium Fibre. I still take a sachet a day, before I take my breakfast, not only to keep my blood sugar levels in the safe zone but also to lose weight.

Share your C-Lium Fibre story and win!
More and more people are losing more and living more with C-Lium Fibre! Aside from Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition finalists, Art Mendoza and Angela Lupangco, and me and the other online ambassadors, new faces were added to our growing C-Lium Fibre family!
First, there's Richard Yap who's more popularly known as Papa Chen or Sir Chief. He's been taking C-Lium Fibre as part of his fitness regimen and he admits that C-Lium helped him manage his weight and lower his cholesterol and blood sugar levels. No wonder he's still so "papable" even at age 45!

Shed and Tone: Post-workout Recovery Smoothie Recipe
On Week 4 of our C-Lium Lose More, Live More challenge, we were able to meet Ms. Nadine Tengco, resident nutritionist and chef of Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition. I mentioned in my post during that week that she made us a post-workout recovery smoothie, something that we badly needed after our intense crossfit workout earlier that day.

- WEEK 1: The initial physical check-up and lab test done in July 26 revealed that I weigh 189 lbs and have a BMI of 37.2. Fasting blood sugar level was 5.2 mmol/L and LDL (bad cholesterol) level was 212 mg/dLwhich was 62 points above the normal range.
- WEEK 2: I started to dance an hour of Zumba everyday and monitor my calorie intake through the MyFitnessPal app (free for Android and iOS). My blood sugar and blood pressure showed signs of improvement.
- WEEK 3: I was introduced to the 4-minute MetaFIT exercise routine. I also started to do the cardio and strengthening exercises posted on the C-Lium Fibre website.
- WEEK 4: I and the other blogger ambassadors did CrossFit training together with C-Lium Fibre brand ambassadors, Angela Lupangco and Art Mendoza. Nadine Tengco, resident nutritionist and chef of Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition also taught us the right way to diet plus showed us how to make snacks using C-Lium Fibre.

Week 4 of Losing More to Live More: CrossFit training and Proper Weight Loss Diet
The 4th week of of C-Lium Lose More, Live More challenge has been both the most anticipated and most dreaded week. This week, we all meet again, together with Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Season 1 finalists, Art Mendoza and Angela Lupangco, at CrossFit Manila in Taguig. Thinking about CrossFit weeks before that sent me the shivers because I knew that it would be thrice as intense as the MetaFIT routine I've been doing.

Similiar to MetaFIT, CrossFit is a fitness program that has a variety of exercises that are repeated over a span of time. Typically, CrossFit training does not go beyond 30 minutes. Our work-out session, on the other hand, consisted of 7 repetitions each of Wall Balls, Push-ups, Box Jumps, and Burpees all done over and over for 10 minutes.

Thank goodness, I was still able to walk out of the gym after this intense workout, LOL!

Week 3 of Losing More to Live More
It's now the third week of the month-long C-Lium Lose More, Live More challenge. Unlike the first and second week, the changes I saw this week are minimal. My blood pressure and blood sugar level are maintained at normal levels, though. There's no remarkable weight loss but I lost 2 inches off my waistline once again. (You can read about my first and second weeks HERE and HERE.)
This week has been the most challenging so far in terms of dieting. The crazy monsoon rains place our town underwater once again and my sister, brother, their kids, and a cousin, evacuated their home to stay with us. The rains, the company of my siblings, and the warm food that we shared proved to be the perfect ingredients for a diet disaster. I found myself eating a cup of rice even for dinner. Tsk!

Week 2 of losing more to live more
One week has already gone by from the first day I started my weight loss journey with C-Lium Fibre. It hasn't been that easy because sleeping in and not exercising has already become a tough habit to break. My initial lab test results really forced me to do something about my weight. I don't want to die of a heart attack! (For those of you who were able to read about my initial laboratory results, you can do so by clicking HERE.)

The past seven days, I did an hour of Zumba to exercise. My husband and I also walk and jog in the morning when it's not raining. Apart from the daily exercise, I also closely monitored my calorie intake. I make sure that I have enough fiber in every meal. Sometimes, I get to take C-Lium Fibre twice a day when I eat food that's been cooked in oil.

Losing more to live more
For those who have been following me and my blog ever since, you would know how many times I have tried to lose weight. I took orlistat, did the Wii Fit challenge, tested countless crash diet fads, yet here I am still obese. It's been months since I last made an effort to exercise.
And so here I am, once again, back to where I began when I started my weight loss journey in 2006. I am obese, diabetic, and hypertensive. If only I were single and responsible only for myself, I wouldn't care. But I can't afford to be unhealthy like this anymore because my boys need me.
I'm taking charge of my life and I now commit myself to lose more to live more.
