iPad apps for diabetics

I'm a sucker for gadgets. But don't get me wrong, I buy not because I want to fit in and be cool but because I fall in love with its features. Our iPad, for instance, has been very useful to me since Day 1. Since I'm the only one who's left at home most at the time, I'm the one who frequently use it.

We divided the iPad into three home screens to organize our favorite apps. Obviously, mine has the most apps. I have an app for almost everything! Of course, the first ones I downloaded are the ones that help me manage my diabetes.

Here are the ones that I currently use:

My Fitness Pal

Food and exercise diary

I started using My Fitness Pal initially to help me lose weight for the C-Lium challenge we did months ago. Maintaining my food and exercise diary really helped me lose weight and keep my blood sugar levels on the safe side. By the way, I won the Biggest Drop in Blood Glucose category in this challenge!

Diabetes App

Diabetes App  is designed to keep track of the important aspects in a diabetic's life which makes management easy. It helps keep track of daily blood sugar levels, carbohydrate intake, water intake, medications taken, weight, blood pressure, and daily activities.

Diabetes (Animated Pocket Dictionary)

Diabetes is a very complicated disease and it seems that I haven't even scratched the surface when it comes to understanding it. Diabetes (Animated Pocket Dictionary) has helped me understand medical terms that I don't know. The text is easy to comprehend and the photos and animation makes everything easier to understand.

So there, if you're a diabetic with an iPad or iPhone, I suggest that you use your gadgets to your advantage and download these apps. All of these apps are free by the way. Don't forget to let me know if it's been helpful in your diabetes management by commenting here!
