Wishing for a fitter me in 2012

It's been two weeks since my last blog update. Well, apart from the fact that I had been busy with holiday preparations, I had also been down with the a nasty case of cough and colds which started Christmas Day. Well, anyways...

I went back to my exercise routine on the first Monday of the year. I was also able to bully Rap into dancing with me for an hour because he didn't have class yet. The next day, I danced and had some strength training exercises done on the Wii. It was only today that I had the courage to weigh in and to my dismay, I'm back to my ugly 180 pound self. Gaaah!

I'm really serious this time. I'd only allow myself to skip my dance and exercise routines on Sundays. I have also decided to avoid soda drinks and drink juice instead. Hopefully, I can buy myself a juicer this weekend so I can start replacing some meals with nutritious and freshly squeezed fruit or vegetable juice as my friend, Lakapati, had done. I really wanna lose all these pounds without the help of diet pills.

Please, please, please pray that I'll be successful this time. I need to be fit so I won't go back to being hypertensive. Hay, so help me God!

I totally have a problem with the sodas! It seems like every time I look down, I'm drinking Dr Pepper...I'm very addicted! So I'm with you there! :) Good luck!

my wake up call - Dr visit with a 5.9 and 125 FBG - that was 2 weeks ago.  I am a bread a holic and a sweet tooth to beat the band.  That visit did it for me.  DIabetes runs in the family and this made me cut the bad carbs, breads, sweets, bagels, etc.  no trips to the candy machine during work, have already dropped 8 pounds in 2 weeks, FBG now at a steady 88 - 93 in the morning and feel much better.  Amazing how all the bad good stuff did not realize how bad I felt.  Stepped up the excercise as well - now 40 minutes in the morning before work and 40 minutes at night.  Determination and  desire to be around a long time got me up and moving .  Can't break the soda habit - blah blah, take control before this disease takes control of you
