So Eighties...

Daddy Jun was finishing another assignment last night for his Marketing Management class this Saturday. He asked me about products that are not in the market right now. And nostalgia began...

I had to consult Ralph's bible (Bob Ong's "Bakit Baligtad Magbasa ang Mga Pilipino") once in a while to refresh my memory.

Pepsodent. Come on, don't tell me you didn't use that as a kid! Sarap ng bubble gum flavor niyan 'no! There were even campus tours when I was in Kinder where the giant Pepsodent mascot teaches kids how to brush their teeth and sings " Taas baba... paikot-ikot!".

I don't remember it looking like this. In other countries kasi, available pa rin ito.

Kung fu shoes. Hehehe... my sister and I used this during our elementary days. We were bought those probably because they're cheaper. Plus, I think we needed those especially in the flooded street of San Marcelino. Which reminds me... we had a grand time, then, swimming in the waist-deep flood! Batang Maynila 'to!

I used a girl's pair. Yung may strap sa harap.

Ola. "Ola, ola, pinong panglaba." I can still sing that commercial jingle up to now. True to its claim, it's good for delicate hands. Bango pa.

Betamax and Atari. Actually, we didn't have these while growing up. Now, at least, we can afford to have our own home theater system.

And the list can go on forever....

Nakaka-miss ang mga ito. Or am I really missing my childhood.

And when this happens, kampihan na yan.

Miss mo no?
