Long Time, No Blog

I've been busy. Since I started teaching, I've had little time for blogging. Kakapagagod eh. Parang nadi-drain ang lahat ng lakas ko. After 5 pm, I feel like a lantang gulay.

And I stopped teaching Koreans na pala. Hindi ko na kinaya ang layo ng travel from Santa Rosa to Alabang. Plus marami pang nega vibes. Haay naku, hirap talaga pag di mo kalahi ang bosses mo. Susulitin nila ang bawat piso sa iyo kaya pati paglilinis ng school naka-toka pa sa mga teachers! Eh sa bahay nga hindi na ako naglilinis tapos sa school paglilinisin lang ako pag Sabado. Without pay pa yun ha! Pasaway!

With God's blessing, meron ako agad nakuhang bagong teaching job. As in AGAD! Saturday, I submitted my resume. Monday night I was interviewed by the directress. Tuesday I did my demo teaching and was hired. Wednesday I did my observations. Thursday I taught na! Bilis no? I'm now teaching Kinder 1 in the morning and Grade 1 in the afternoon. Maximum number of students is 12 kaya super light. I have a teaching aide who helps me handle the kids. Hindi ako taga-linis ng room! (Hehehe). And the best part of it all is the distance from our home. Nilalakad ko lang eh. Siguro less than 200 meters away lang siya. Kaya lunchtime I go home and I have lunch with Rap. Rap also goes to my school pag hapon na and he wants to read inside the library. How convenient! Kaya nga abot-abot ang pasasalamat ko eh.

God is really good!

I'm a Teacher now!

I will start working tomorrow as an English teacher to Koreans. After 5 years, this will be my first 8-5 job. Daming adjustments niyan sigurado. Like going to work every morning and going home in the evening by commute. Buti na lang it's in Ayala, Alabang lang kaya malapit pa rin. I'm excited na medyo takot. What if I can't be effective as I thought I can be. Bahala na si Batman, basta chichikahin ko na lang sila in English. Sabi nga ni Ate Do, alam naman nila ang grammar rules eh, kulang lang sila sa application. And may course outline naman so hindi na mahirap sundin yun.

Ok lang kay Daddy Jun na mag-work ako uli. I'm not in it for the money naman eh. I also need the experience. Hirap naman na puro theories lang ang alam ko at walang application ng mga inaaral ko sa Masters, di ba? Naku, speaking of money, stop na ang allowance ko nito kay Daddy Jun. Kakahiya naman no!

Si Rap ang galit. Hay naku, ayaw talaga ako nun mag-work. Porke ala daw siyang mommy sa bahay, malulungkot daw siya, etc. etc. etc. Eh nung sinabi kong unang sweldo ko bibilhan ko siya ng bagong DVD, aba, kulang na lang ipagtulakan ako sa pinto at umalis na uli! Hehehe! Bata nga naman. Ok na siguro yun. Malaki na siya eh, hindi na kailangan ng supervision ko. Saka pag gabi naman may time pa rin for me to review him with his lessons and help him with his assignments.

Well... this also means another thing. Lesser time for blogging na naman. I have work, school, and family life to juggle everyday. Malamang I can only do this every Sunday. :)

SBD Day 11

Yipee! All my efforts paid off! (At least... :) )

Naku, hindi ko pa alam ang weight ko ngayon. I really need to buy myself a bathroom scale. Dati kasi ayaw ko bumili dahil nakaka-depress lang. Pero naisip ko, why not chocnut? Sabi nga nung friend ko, I have to take it as a challenge. The last time I checked my weight, kakaloka! Kaya nga biglang napa-SBD ang lola niyo eh! Ayaw ko pa mamatay ng maaga no! Ayoko ring maputulan ng paa dahil sa diabetes.

3 days to go and I'll be done with Phase 1. Totoo nga, I totally have no cravings at all for rice, pasta, and bread. Nasanay na. Pinaka-rice ko ngayon ay gulay kaya tuwang tuwa ang suki naming magugulay sa palengke. Bawal nga lang ang carrots, potatoes, and fruits. Next week pwede na ako 1 serving of fruit a day. Yipee!

I lost 3 inches on my waist. I still don't know how much pounds I lost. Sana nasa ten man lang. ;p

The first week nakakapanghina talaga. Iba kasi yung sanay ka sa carbo. During the first week lagi akong inaantok. Wala kasing carbohydrates to boost energy. Etong second week parang nasanay na ang katawan ko and medyo energetic na.

Next week, I still plan to avoid eating too much carbohydrates. Siguro fruits and crackers lang muna ang idadagdag ko. Baka ma-shock ang katawan ko at mag-shoot up uli ang blood sugar ko.

Ok na rin ang ganito. At least everyone in the house is eating healthy. Wala silang magagawa ano, ako ang nagluluto. Pati si Rap nasasanay na sa gulay.

Wish me luck for Phase 2! And for my unit test na rin on Saturday. :(
